As of the 9th of October 2009 (Outcare Youth Services official opening) Outcare Youth Services is now based at 476 Guildford Rd. Bayswater. Things have been a bit hectic over the past month and we’ve been struggling to keep up with the phonetic pace of Outcare but the team is getting back on top of things so thank you for your patience and support and hopefully Sam will not miss too many more meetings etc.

Mind you the team has been flat out getting things organised and picking up bits and pieces. So for those of you that have been on the train helping I would like to this opportunity in thanking you all for your support, strength, guidance and perseverance.

Support and inspiration is something I’d like to thank Kate Mancini (Charity Link) for, her endless enthusiasm and ability to make something appear from nothing. Charity LInk has enabled Outcare Youth Services to furnish our offices from donations forwarded from organisations linked with Charity Link.

Kate has been an endless avenue for the team in supplying office furniture etc. Our connection with Charity Link has certainly strengthened over recent months resulting in the following donations for our new Bayswater Offices and Programme/s;

a.)                Office Furniture, desks and Stationary (Files) for Youth Services

b.)                Computer Desk

c.)                Outdoor wooden setting for Bayswater Office.

d.)                House furniture for Curlington Way house including Lounge and coffee table

During this move our ‘Live Works’ programme ended resulting in five clients (previously involved in the justice system) getting opportunities to commence apprenticeships in the building Industry.

The fact that we were able to furnish the offices with donated furniture enabled Youth Services to spend much needed funds on our clients for tools.  Prior to getting a tool allowance Apprentices need to be on the job for 6 months. We thank Charity Link for their ongoing support and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship in the future.
