Clients of the Patricia Giles Centre (Joondalup) will be skilled up with the tools they need after local skylight company Calidad Industries fulfilled the centre’s wish through the Charity Link website.
The Patricia Giles Centre, a refuge for women escaping domestic violence, through the help of Charity Link’s ‘Wish List’, had their wish for tools granted.
Patricia Giles Centre Chief Executive Officer, Kedy Kristal, recognised a need for home and car workshops to not only help clients lead more independent lives but to also help build their confidence and self esteem.
“The donation from Calidad Industries has enabled us to purchase a lawnmower, car ramps and a trolley jack, which will allow the centre to hold home and car safety workshops to provide clients with the skills needed to live an independent life,” said Ms Kristal.
“The ‘Wish List’ has been a great resource to bring us together with companies who support what we do and want we want to achieve,” said Ms Kristal.
The Patricia Giles Centre is holding women’s only car and home workshops in early May. For more information please contact The Patricia Giles Centre on 9300 0340.
