The Western Power Charity Link 2008 Christmas Appeal kicked off with on November 11 with a launch party for all of Charity Link’s valued friends and sponsors and memeber agencies. Thank you to everyone who attended and made the event such a huge success.
The launch event was held at Scitech, where guests were entertained by Christmas carols.
The Appeal kicked off with our major sponsor Western Power making a contribution of $30,000! Western Power’s Managing Director Doug Aberle presented the cheque to Charity Link’s Chairman Rev. Alan. Shepherd.
Doug Aberle also presented to Fr, Brian Morrison a gift on behalf of the Board of Charity Link as Fr. Brian has completed his term as Chairman at Charity Link. We are pleased that Fr. Brian will remain an advisor to the Board of Charity Link where together we will work for the benefit of the disadvantaged in our community.
Charity Link said the sponsorship of $30,000 from Western Power would make a significant contribution to ensuring all requests for assistance can be met this Christmas. We are extremley appreciative of Western Powers long term commitment and generosity.
This Christmas Charity Link expects to provide food and gifts to more than 10,000 West Australians experiencing hardship and/or crisis.
Thank you to Lorriane Butler for all her hard work. Thank you to SciTech's Malcom Moore for allowing us the venue and to Kimiko Holder for setting everything up for us. It is appreciated.
