2009 Christmas Volunteer

Volunteer and you’ll make Christmas brighter for

100+ charities & 1000’s of West Australians in need

Making a difference to someone less fortunate is the best gift you can give this Christmas. And volunteering for the 2009 Western Power Charity Link Christmas Appeal allows you to do just that.

Charity Link is a collaborative charity organisation that co-ordinates several annual appeals on behalf of 100+ ‘member‘ charities and community groups in all regions of Western Australia. As part of our annual Christmas appeal, Charity Link manages the distribution of food hampers and toys with the aim of ensuring there is a smile on every child’s face at Christmas and that all West Australians enjoy a complete Christmas meal.

In 2009 we’re expecting the demand for assistance to be higher than ever, particularly as economic conditions and living conditions stretch household budgets to the limit.

Individuals and businesses can contribute to the 2009 Western Power Charity Link Christmas Appeal by volunteering for one of several roles, described below. Regardless of whether you can spare half a day or a full week, volunteering will allow you to embrace the spirit of Christmas and make difference to a West Australian in need.

"It is entirely logical for these appeals to be undertaken as a collaborative effort, as it prevents duplication of services, competition for donors and ensures every dollar goes further," Kevin Campbell, Chairman Lotterywest.
